At VIDLA (Vocalist International Distance Learning Academy), we are passionate about the training of singing teachers and singers in the Contemporary (non-classical) field.

Our Distance Learning Courses are a highly effective and affordable

solution for those singers who want to study vocal teaching and / or

technique in depth.

We are also developing a unique range of practitioner-led courses via

Skype, working in partnership with some of the world’s top vocal coaches,

to bring you not only great training, but also an accredited VIDLA

qualification! The first of these totally unique courses launches in

October 2010: Dena Murray’s “Finding Your Real Voice”.

All VIDLA courses are rigorous but fulfilling and will help you not only to

improve your confidence, technique and knowledge, not only to earn a

living as a singing teacher or vocalist, but also to become one of those important people working to raise the standard of contemporary

vocal teaching everywhere!

Our staff is headed up by one of the U.K.’S most respected and  highly-qualified Contemporary Vocals experts - an inspirational educationalist of uncompromising standards - who oversees all of  our course development and structure. The VIDLA Executive Team consists of four highly-qualified educators: all are also industry professionals from backgrounds as wide-ranging as West End, rock music, vocal healing, classical voice and jazz. The team leads all development and provision, overseeing a much wider team of Consultants, Personal Tutors and Teachers, located worldwide.

So you can be sure, when you sign up to take a VIDLA course, that you are in very capable hands. VIDLA is accredited by the International Association for Distance Learning, and is an Institutional Member of the prestigious College of Teachers.

VIDLA in its current form has been in existence since 2001, but with a history and development dating back to 1983.

Since that time, we have been researching and  answering the growing need for higher standards in contemporary vocal training.

We are based in London, UK, with a worldwide student and client base.

VIDLA is fully accredited by the IADL, and is a member of The College of Teachers.
